In the heart of Northumberland, a traditional pub dating back to at least1569 in the beautiful village of Corbridge, steeped in Roman history.
We serve meals daily using locally sourced produce served in our bar, wood-panelled lounge with real fire & dining room, our fantastic Sunday lunches are very popular among our loyal locals.
We offer a great selection of local cask ale, a superb wine list, plenty of gins and whiskies, as well as delicious teas & coffees.
Our outside seating is a great place to watch the world go by; south facing so you can enjoy a beer in the sunshine or dine outside with fish & chips or just unwind with a bottle of wine.
With 10 traditional bedrooms (including 6 dog-friendly rooms) and an apartment we are perfect for a food and drink led getaway or staycation.
The Angel c. 1910
The Angel dates back to at least 1569 and are the oldest inn in Northumberland. We have a remarkably detailed and factual history to tell you including every owner, landlord, innkeeper, and tenant from 1569 until today. No ghost stories though but, we do have a lucky dog!

Each day we serve our lunch & evening menus in our Bar, Lounge and Dining Room, with our Sunday Menu served 12:00-18:30. Our Bar & Lounge are both dog-friendly areas.
As our building is almost 500 years old all our hotel rooms are slightly different from each other. Many of our rooms are dog-friendly and we have kept the other rooms completely dog-free.
